He assessed the entire house, gave me options and clearly explained the process. Everyone from Mike, to the secretary in the office to the workers were absolutely amazing. They did the work as promised, gave us a reasonable price, and left the place immaculate. We could not be happier with the results! This is a great family owned business. You can’t go wrong!Posted on Google rose smithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The work was done with the utmost professionalism and competence. Mark took it upon himself to come to my home and examine my issue himself. He is knowledgeable not only in basement waterproofing, but also in land grading, excavating and several other adjacent topics. While it was concluded my issue was not foundation oriented, he did not hesitate to propose several other creative ideas to help address my issue. He has a great disposition, and I would not hesitate to recommend his services to others.Posted on Google Linda RussoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I bought my house 24 years ago, and for 24 years I lived with water coming in to my finished basement. A few years back I hired another company to put in a French Drain System which never worked. As the storms got worse the water in my basement increased. Because of my previous experience I was hesitant to hire another company until I read about ACM and met Mark who was highly recommended by my Home Service Company. Mark spent about 2 hours explaining the process, and what was needed. In February 2025 ACM put a extensive French Drain System which included taking down the sheet rock walls, demoing tile and placing a membrane along the whole perimeter of the drain system. All of this work was completed in 3 days exactly what Mark said. The guys were professional, polite, and best of all they were careful to save my Radiant Heating System which was under the tile. Since the French Drain System was placed I have not had 1 drop of water coming into my basement. I am very grateful to Mark's ACM Company, and was able to refinish my basement without fear of water damage. I highly recommend ACM Basement Water Proofing to all who are having water problems with their basement.Posted on Google Maria LacosteTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I chose ACM because of their "Best of Long Island" award, and I'm glad I did. Mark's crew (led by Joe) installed an interior French drain and a sump pump in our basement. Six months later, we've had no problems with water. These guys know what they're doing.Posted on Google Links2282Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I would like to say thank you to Mark and his team for their excellent work installing a French Drain in our finished basement. For years we had to worry about flooding if we got a large amount of rain in a short time. The entire staff was totally professional. knowledgeable, competent and efficient. They were clean and caring and after each day they protected the whole worksite. Without a doubt, we would recommend them for all your basement waterproofing needs.Posted on Google Peter WebbTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I called acm after finding water in the basement. Mark answered the call and quickly helped diagnose the issue. He guided me to check baseboard and sure enough a broken valve was causing this leak. It's good to find someone to help a homeowner without rushing to take their money. It's good to find a honest business man
Basement Water Solutions
Protecting your crawl space from water damage is essential to maintaining the structural integrity and air quality of your home. A reliable sump pump is a crucial component of any crawl space waterproofing system. ACM is Long Island’s trusted contractor for expert crawl space sump pump installation.
We make it simple, affordable, and stress-free — with guaranteed results.
Crawl spaces are particularly vulnerable to water intrusion, which can lead to mold, wood rot, and unhealthy indoor air. A crawl space sump pump prevents standing water from accumulating by effectively pumping it out to a designated discharge location.
Paired with an interior French drain system, a sump pump ensures your crawl space stays dry and your Long Island home protected.
If you’re searching for crawl space sump pump solutions near me, chances are you’re already seeing signs of a moisture issue. Even small problems in your crawl space can quickly escalate into major damage. Long Island homes — especially in flood-prone or low-lying areas — are particularly vulnerable.
Here are some common signs you may need a sump pump installed in your crawl space:
If any of these sound familiar, ACM — your local Long Island crawl space waterproofing expert — is nearby and ready to help. Let’s take care of it before it becomes a bigger issue.
Our installation process begins with creating a sump basin in your crawl space. This basin is strategically located to collect water from the perimeter French drain system. Once installed, the sump pump is installed.
As the french channel collects water and deposits it into the sump basin, the water level in the basin increases. This causes a ‘floating’ device attached to the sump pump to rise, which activates the sump pump.
The sump pump pulls in water from the basin and pushes it up the discharge line (PVC piping) past a valve that prevents water from falling back down the pipe and into the basin. The water follows the discharge line out and away from your Long Island home where the water is discharged, where it can’t cause any more issues.
Crawl spaces are not places you want to revisit. They’re tight, uncomfortable, and usually damp. So when we install a sump pump down there, we use one that won’t need replacing anytime soon.
We go with the Wayne F50CIS. It’s a 1/2 HP submersible pump with an epoxy-coated cast iron body. Not plastic. Plastic pumps are cheaper upfront, but they don’t hold up in the wet, stagnant air you get under a Long Island home. Cast iron does.
Independent lab testing put this pump through over 1 million cycles. That’s the kind of reliability you need in a space you’d rather not crawl back into.
The F50CIS uses a top suction intake. In a crawl space, debris and sediment tend to collect at the bottom of the sump pit. Bottom-feed pumps pull that junk right in and clog. Top suction avoids the problem entirely. It also prevents air locks, which can stop a pump from priming.
The pump handles up to 70 gallons per minute and turns on automatically through a vertical float switch. It runs quietly, which you’ll appreciate since it’s sitting right below your floors. Fits any basin 11 inches or wider. Assembled in the USA.
We trust this pump in our basement jobs too. But in a crawl space, reliability matters even more.
When a storm hits Long Island, your sump pump shouldn’t stop working just because the power does. That’s why we recommend adding a battery backup system to your crawl space sump pump installation.
Our high-performance backup systems provide a second line of defense during power outages — which often happen during the exact storms that threaten your home. The backup pump automatically activates when your primary system fails or becomes overwhelmed, continuing to move water out and away from your home.
Looking for sump pump battery backup options near me? ACM is your trusted local waterproofing contractor on Long Island, and we’ll help you choose the right system to fit your needs and your home.
Water can get into your crawl space in a few different ways. Melted snow in the spring or heavy rains can lead to water pooling in your yard and trickling into the crawl space. Damaged gutters or missing downspouts will allow water to fall next to your foundation and into your crawl space.
At ACM, serving Long Island, we understand that every home in Long Island is unique. That’s why we customize our crawl space sump pump installations to meet the specific needs of your property. Whether you live in Suffolk County or Nassau County, our experienced team ensures the job is done right the first time.
